Buttock Lift View Photos
Buttock lifts are surgeries performed to lift the sagging tissues of the gluteal area to a more naturally pleasing location.  There are basically two types of operations that share this name, despite the fact that they are very different surgeries that are performed on different types  of patients.

1) Buttock or Outer Thigh lifts with incisions:  These surgeries are typically performed after massive weight after massive weight loss.  Frequently, they are performed in combination with an abdominoplasty resulting in a more circumferential lift to the sagging tissues of the body.  This type of surgery involves incisions all along the lifted areas.  We perform this type of buttock lift or circumferential body contouring in the Washington D.C. area hospitals.  An overnight stay is often advisable.

2) "Brazilian Buttock Lift":  This operation is not a lift per say, but a redistribution of your existing fat contour to create the illusion of the lift and higher buttocks.  The surgery is an example of liposculpture, where the techniques of suctioning fat and reinjecting fat are applied to the buttock region with the goals of enhancing the upper part of the butt by suctioning out fat from the back and from the lower part of the butt and performing fat transfer to the area to be enhanced.  We perform this buttock lift in an outpatient surgical facility serving the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
